Reducing Salt. Cheese focus

 Once again salt is in the news for high levels in processed foods. This time Cheese hits the headlines as being third of the top three salt contributors to the UK diet, with bread and processed meats such as bacon and ham taking the top two. 

Bread and cheese are UK staples and have a place in a healthy balanced diet - and therein lies the focus. If you get them in the right amounts the salt and fat in them are not an issue. Overconsumption of either of these is an issue and what is right for one is not the same as for another.
